Our son Andre is 9 years old. We are from Belgium. In August 2022, he underwent an autism treatment procedure at the Mardaleishvili Clinic in Georgia.
After the procedure, Andre showed real improvements. His speech has improved — he now speaks in more complex sentences and uses more words. His understanding of spoken language has also developed; he used to not respond to questions, but now he answers and even asks questions himself.
Andre has become more social — he used to stay on the sidelines. Before the procedure, when playing alone, he would line everything up in a row. Now his play has changed—he enjoys group games and asks others to play with him. Andre has started to understand social norms and the meaning of the word “must.”
Andre has made a big developmental leap. His teachers at school have started to notice improvements in his academic performance. We were pleasantly surprised when he successfully passed the entrance testing for a mainstream school.
Andre has also become calmer. He used to be hyperactive and constantly running off somewhere. Now, he is obedient and has learned to control himself.
Before the procedure, Andre was very selective with food. Now, his diet has become more varied, and he enjoys trying new foods.
In April 2025, we returned to the Mardaleishvili Clinic for a follow-up procedure and are hopeful for further improvements in our son’s condition.
